Stonewood Partnerships has been shortlisted in four categories at the prestigious South West Residential Property Awards.
The Tormarton and Castle Combe-based company was shortlisted in the Housebuilder of the Year category for its Somerbrook and The Tannery developments at Great Somerford in north Wiltshire and Holt in west Wiltshire, as well as the new Orchard Field neighbourhood at Siddington, near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
The housebuilder’s first development – Somerbrook – was shortlisted in the Small Residential Development of the Year (less than 100 units) category. The Tannery was nominated in two categories, the Place-Making Award and the Sustainability Award. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Exeter University on September 9.
The Tannery has already been voted Residential Development of the Year by judges at the Bath Property Awards earlier this year and the latest nominations come just a week before the development’s show home opens.
Stonewood Partnerships Operations Director Gavin Calthrop said: “I am absolutely delighted that the quality of these projects has been recognised and that the incredible hard work of the team over the last two years has also been acknowledged.”
“It is really pleasing to be nominated in the Housebuilder category alongside some big names and also the Sustainability award because that is a hallmark of all of our projects. Thanks to the judges for the nominations and we look forward to the ceremony.”
More than 50 per cent of the 38-home site at Somerbrook, which is bordered by farmland and has views across the countryside, have been reserved. There are just 15 homes left unreserved at The Tannery, a 44-home community being created on the site of the 250-year-old J&T Beaven tannery.
Sister company Stonewood Builders is transforming the historic stone workshops and warehouses into 100 workspaces. Work is also just under way at Orchard Field on the edge of Siddington, where 88 homes will be built to the most environmentally sound principles possible.
