Paul Dearing of Perry Bishop talks to Wigwam TV about Swindon's property market

Paul brings a wealth of experience to his role as Associate Partner at the respected estate agent.

Paul Dearing has lived in North Swindon for over 20 years and has a vast knowledge of the local area. He started his career in estate agency over 15 years ago with Dewhurst & Co and then spent 10 years with Strakers.

Now he is relishing his new role as Associate Partner at Perry Bishop Swindon and Villages.

Paul is passionate about property and delivering a first-class service. You may also have caught him on Homes Under the Hammer! Outside of work he loves spending time with his daughter, a student at Abbey Park in Redhouse.

Wigwam TV caught up with Paul to talk about his new role and the Swindon property market.

“I’ve now been at Perry Bishop about six months in Swindon, it’s going really well. I’m really enjoying it and the market’s really booming at the moment.”

“I would say the market has been booming partly because of the stamp duty holiday and the incentive that’s there, but I would also say the pent-up demand from people pre-Covid is having an impact.”

“There also seems to be more first-time buyers coming to the market at the moment which is due to the deposit from the lenders being reduced, so I think it’s a mixture of everything really.”

“The stock that I am dealing with at the moment is actually quite varied, I think I have been quite lucky that as opposed to some other agencies that seem to be pigeonholed in locations and property types and pricing, I’m dealing with properties from £85,000 up to £820,000 at the moment.”

“That’s ranging from flats, houses, bungalows, and in all different areas as well, which hopefully gives me the experience which maybe some other agents haven’t had.”
