The mansion from the Netflix spinoff series Cobra Kai has sold for a whopping $2.4 million, after going on the market in April. And as the new owners have bagged the lavish Marietta, Georgia property for $200k under the asking price, they're also planning on renting it out on Airbnb.
Despite the show being set in Encino,California, fans of the series will be able to stay in the house that Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso lives in with his wife and children.
According to TMZ, the final deal is being closed, with the anonymous buyer planning on transforming the home - which has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms - into a luxury bed and breakfast.
It was reported that actor Jamie Foxx wanted to buy it, but didn't go through with the purchase.
In the Netflix show, original Karate Kid Daniel - played by Ralph Macchio, 59 - upgraded from the dingy apartment complex featured in the earlier movies to a lavish mansion after he became the wealthy owner of a car dealership.
The Tuscan-style villa was originally listed for $2.65million last spring, and according to the listing on Realtor.com, the estate was also home to two U.S. presidents and golfing legend Arnold Palmer. The 9,214 square foot mansion boasts many luxury amenities on its 1.1 acre lot including a Mediterranean-inspired backyard with a deluxe pool and al fresco dining patio.
The new owner of the house known as Villa Flora will also enjoy an opulent indoor atrium complete with a wooden bridge, a rock garden and a koi fish pond.
In the Netflix revival series, Daniel, has finally earned material riches. But he feels lost after the death of his mentor and friend, Mr Miyagi (played by Pat Morita). Though he is happily married to Samantha - who is played by Courtney Henggeler, 42 - he finds it hard to connect with his two children Samantha (Mary Mouser, 24) and Anthony (Griffin Santopietro, 16).
LaRusso's nemesis from The Karate Kid movie franchise, Johnny Lawrence, played by Willaim Zabka, 55, is the main protagonist of Cobra Kai. Over 30 years after being defeated by Daniel, the former Encino rich kid is now a struggling handyman in Reseda. When Lawrence decides to reopen the Cobra Kai karate dojo, their rivalry is revived.
Daniel later reopens the Miyagi Do dojo and the series follows their ongoing feud and battle for karate dominance.
However, the fourth season will see them teaming up against their common enemy, John Kreese, played by Martin Kove, 75. Though Cobra Kai's fourth season is expected to drop later in the year, where the LaRusso family will live now is a mystery.
This comes after news The Karate Kid is to be transformed into a stage musical. The original 1984 martial arts movie is now set to be adapted for a Broadway show.
Robert Mark Kamen, who was the mind behind the original film, says: "Never in my wildest dreams did I think this little movie would reach across generations the way it has. And beyond my wildest dreams did I think what started out as a love letter to my devotion to Okinawan Karate and the man who taught me would become a full-blown Broadway musical."
Macchio previously admitted that he was unlikely to make another Karate Kid film, because 'movies had changed.'
In an interview last year, the 58-year-old actor said: "It has been discussed, but it's not something that I think we're moving forward with and here's the reason for that. To go back and try to do a traditional major motion picture sequel, movies have changed in the sense of what plays in the movie theatres and for how long. It's usually big IPs like superhero movies that get that screen time and then there's everything else. It's hard."
